Police are investigating after they say someone fired several shots at a home in Portland, hitting a gas line.
Police were called to 12 Eleanor Street just before 11 p.m. Sunday and found several bullet holes in the front of the duplex and officers said they could smell gas.
The fire department also responded and was able to turn the gas off until Unitil was notified.
No one was hurt in the incident. It was not immediately clear how many people were evacuated from the building or for how long.
Police were still investigating Monday morning and did not announce any arrests.
