Lake Travis Fire Rescue responds to gas leak on FM 620 after line struck

Oct 19, 2024

The Lake Travis Fire Rescue is responding to a gas leak after a construction crew hit an 8 inch gas line Friday morning.

Crews posted on social media around 11:45 a.m. saying this was happening at Farm to Market 620 and Ranch Road 2222.

LTFR says Northbound lanes are closed at the 6400 block of 620. The Comanche Trail is open and can be used as an alternate route.

Texas Gas crews are on scene but they do not have an estimated time of re-opening the road, according to LTFR.

They are asking drivers to find an alternate route and expect heavy traffic delays in the area.
