A driver is injured following a single-vehicle crash in Armstrong County Sunday.

Armstrong County officials said a vehicle crashed into a tree along the 1100 block of Dime, catching the vehicle and a nearby home on fire.

Our partners at the Trib said officials confirmed multiple fire departments were called to the scene after 2:30 p.m.

The Trib further said a natural gas line caught fire and emergency responders kept the fire under control until the gas company turned off service.

The driver was taken to the hospital.

Officials reported after 5:30 p.m. down power lines from the accident have also sparked flames.
