North Carolina: Firefighter impersonator arrested

A man impersonating a firefighter and trying to put out a fire with a garden hose was arrested after refusing to let firefighters do their job, according to the Morganton Department of Public Safety.

Authorities said firefighters were called to a home around midnight Wednesday on Morehead Street.

When firefighters first arrived, they said a neighbor was on scene, dressed in FDNY fire gear and trying to put out the fire with a garden hose.
Morganton firefighters began to put out the fire; however, they said the neighbor refused to leave or allow firefighters to begin their work.

After multiple commands, law units responded and took Christopher Victor Miglino, 37, of Morganton, into custody.
Miglino was charged with the following:
Miglino did not receive a bond since he was currently out on pre-trial release.
