Lake Travis Fire Rescue responds to gas leak on FM 620 after line struck

The Lake Travis Fire Rescue is responding to a gas leak after a construction crew hit an 8 inch gas line Friday morning.

Crews posted on social media around 11:45 a.m. saying this was happening at Farm to Market 620 and Ranch Road 2222.

LTFR says Northbound lanes are closed at the 6400 block of 620. The Comanche Trail is open and can be used as an alternate route.

Lake Travis Fire Rescue stated at 7:25 p.n. that estimated time for restored services is now between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday. TxDOT and Texas Gas is on the scene, and Texas Gas has assumed the role of Incident Command.

Lake Travis Fire Rescue officials are still on the scene for safety reasons and will continue to provide updates as they are available on X.
