A section of Big Shanty Drive in Kennesaw is closed until further notice as crews repair a damaged gas line, Kennesaw officials report.

According to the city, a gas line was hit on Big Shanty Drive near 1992 Big Shanty Drive, requiring assistance from Cobb Fire to repair the damage.

Big Shanty Drive is temporarily closed between the west and east sides of Pine Hill Circle, with traffic being rerouted around the area via Pine Hill Circle.

As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, the city does not have an estimated time for reopening the road.
